We are working to explore fundamental physics and new engineering of nanoscale solid-state structures and devices.  Our group’s research efforts are primarily focused upon emerging nanoscale devices that have strong potential for enabling building blocks and components for novel circuits and transducers, which could lead to future generations of devices and integrated systems for advanced sensing, computing, and communication applications.  In particular, recently and currently we have been studying nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS), nanoelectronic and other nanodevices, and their integration with new nanomaterials, and/or state-of-the-art integrated circuits (ICs).
